Climate Change Displaces Greater Than 150 Million by 2050

Dire predictions about our future climate have as many as 1.2 billion people displaced, be made refugees, by 2050 if the full volume of glaciers and ice caps on Earth, if all of them were to melt, global sea level would rise approximately 70 meters (approximately 230 feet), flooding every coastal city on the planet.

We simply cannot allow this to transpire. We need to implement carbon taxes, smokestack CO2 scrubbers, atmospheric processors that suck in air among which some of it is CO2 and scrub the CO2 from the air releasing the rest of the air back into the atmosphere.

If we don’t take drastic action now, coastal cities all over the world will be flooded. NYC, Miami, New Orleans and more will all be underwater.

It doesn’t end there, all over the world climate change will cause desertification, the turning of currently fertile land into deserts. According to the Brookings Institute in 2017, 68.5 million people were displaced, uprooted from their homes, due to climate change or extreme weather events. A 2018 report from the World Bank states that climate change in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and Latin America will result in the displacement of 143 million people by 2050.

Furthermore, water shortages among the developing world will also result from climate change. “Over the next 30 years, lack of access to food and water will only increase without urgent global cooperation. In the absence of action civil unrest, riots and conflict will most likely increase. COVID-19 is already exposing gaps in the global food chain.”

The infrastructure bill stalled in congress includes funding to deal with climate change but those provisions are not likely to make it into the final legislation.

It is a shame that we have not recognized climate change as the impending disaster that it is. As I said in another post, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The longer we delay in dealing with climate change the bigger the pill we will have to swallow in the future to deal with it.

Edited: More than the Arctic, Antarctica, Greenland, also Russia and other countries would also need to melt.

  • 1/2" thick copper plates interspersed with 3/4" G10FR4 sheets creates a multilayer capacitor array glued together with a high dielectric strength epoxy at the bottom of the craft.
  • The G10FR4 at that 3/4" thickness has a dielectric strength of 600kV.
  • The minimum stated voltage applied to the capacitors was 1.2 million volts double that rating.

  • When Eugene Podkletnov's superconducting disc is rotated considerably faster than its originally tested 5,000 rpm there are strange effects.
  • Rotating the superconducting disc between 25,000 - 50,000 rpm causes the disc to lift into the air.

  • Device 2 was used to show the effects of dielectric material being placed between the conductive plates in the capacitor.
  • Device 2 was seen to move about an eighth of a rotation and stop when tested with a single 44kV pulse applied.
